Villa Senar is only accessible during public events and the park is only temporarily open.

Please check ticket availability before your visit or check the opening dates and hours of the park. Tickets are required for public events, concerts and guided tours.

Seating at concerts and events is limited to 35 people. For private seated dinners combined with a concert, 24 people are allowed.

Public transport: Arrival by public transport is recommended. From Lucerne, take the scheduled boat to Hertenstein station and walk across the peninsula for 15 minutes to Villa Senar. Follow the signs to “Stella Matutina”. The starting times of the concerts and guided tours are adapted to the timetable of the ships.
→ Public transportation

Car: Follow the signs to Stella Matutina. There are no or very few parking spaces available. These are reserved for people with reduced mobility. Please find out about the availability of parking spaces and ask for directions at the entry. Information: office@rachmaninoff.ch

Private boat: There is a private boat mooring. Please enquire about availability: office@rachmaninoff.ch

Heritage Protection

To protect the floor, we ask you to wear flat shoes during your visit to Rachmaninoff’s Villa Senar. Stilettos are not permitted.

Wardrobe

Lockers and an unguarded checkroom are available on site during public tours or concerts.

Accessibility

The entire first floor of Rachmaninoff’s Villa Senar is accessible for wheelchair users. Three steps lead up to the studio, but the wheelchair can easily be parked in front of the stairs so that you have a good view of the studio and the grand piano.

Rachmaninoff’s Villa Senar regularly hosts public events, concerts and guided tours.

Prices

The public concerts vary in price, depending on the project and the artists. The Sergei Rachmaninoff Foundation must finance all events itself and is dependent on sponsors, foundations and patrons as well as ticket revenues.

Private event & guided tour

Would you like to organize a private cultural event and, with the expertise of the Sergei Rachmaninoff Foundation, stage a special occasion, concert or guided tour entirely to Rachmaninoff’s taste?

They offer special knowledge about the house and the unique artist, they know the contemporary and architectural history of Rachmaninoff’s life and everything about his music and its interpretation.
